'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Coates will send the boats!

Stoke chairman Peter Coates has confirmed the Potters are looking for talent overseas this summer to build on the current squad. He confirmed to The Sentinel that Stoke are looking towards Europe to help improve their options, although didn`t want to reveal too much as far as specific targets were concerned. Shame, we`ll have to rely on rumors for now then.

He said: 'We are looking everywhere to see what players are about and are available. We are certainly not closed from bringing anyone in from abroad.'

The Potters will have an even busier campaign this season with the Europa League Qualifiers quickly approaching, so will be gearing up with new players and grueling pre-season training to keep match fitness in tip top condition.

After remarkably reaching the FA Cup Final last season booked them a place in Europe, many are worrying whether the club`s players can cope with the extra matches, so Tony Pulis is looking to add a couple of cards to his deck to give him more options. He has already been linked with the likes of Youssef Al-Arabi, Erik Huseklepp and Cedric Hengbart, and has reportedly had them all scouted.

Pulis has always been a manager who sticks with players that are established in the English leagues, but as the club will play overseas next season, he will be looking for some European players for the extra edge of competitiveness.

We need to do something in the transfer window! Coatesy will back us financially so that'll a positive... we just need to buy the right players; skilled and youthful I reckon

not so much youthful... we need players between 25-30. Just the right age for a footballer I think
