Would Cole do the biz for Stoke?

Would Cole do the biz for Stoke?

A straw poll of the rumours this weekend seem to indicate the majority are going for Stoke to make a move for West Ham's Carlton Cole.

There's no doubt that the Potters need to strengthen their squad throughout with the added 'burden' of Europa League football to look forward to next season. With that due to start in the middle of pre-season there really is little time to lose if we are to get some new players settled in before the remainder return from their summer break.

The Daily Mail reckons we're ready with a £3.5m bid for the England striker who faces the prospect of Championship football if he stays at Upton Park.

We're also said to be ready with a bid for another relegated player, Birmingham's Swedish international Sebastian Larsson. Time will tell how true these rumours are, but I can be sure that they won't be the last we'll hear this summer now that the footie season is well and truly over with today's news that Swansea will join QPR and Norwich in the Premier League next season.
