Hoekstra is back in town
Former Potter, Peter Hoekstra is back at the Brit for the visit of Arsenal.
The left winger and Dutch international dazzled fans and opponents alike with some nifty footwork between 2001 and 2004 making 87 appearances during that time and scoring 12 goals.
Since retiring, when his contract ended at Stoke, he's been coaching for one of his former clubs, Groningen and was invited by the club to bring his youth team of 11 and 12 year olds over to play some games against our Academy.
He'll be best remembered for an impressive hat-trick against Reading at the Brit in December 2003 including a 20 yard blaster that won Stoke's 'goal of the season' award.
