Poll Results: Man of the Match against Spurs

Poll Results: Man of the Match against Spurs

Last week, Stoke were very disappointed to have come away with no points, despite dominating the second half of a 3-2 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur. But after Stoke`s thrilling game at White Hart Lane, Vital Stoke asked the question; who was your Man of the Match? Here are the results:

Asmir Begovic - 3%
Andy Wilkinson - 0%
Ryan Shawcross - 5%
Robert Huth - 0%
Marc Wilson - 0%
Jermaine Pennant - 0%
Glen Whelan - 0%
Rory Delap - 0%
Mathew Etherington - 55%
Jon Walters - 5%
Kenwyne Jones - 27%
Salif Diao - 0%
Ricardo Fuller - 5%
Dean Whitehead - 0%

So you have voted Mathew Etherington as your Man of the Match! He showed pace, agility and most of all determination which just shows the kind of player he is. Not only that, but his individually created goal put the icing on the cake.

Charlie Bennett believed that Kenwyne Jones was the Man of the Match. In his Match Report last week, he said: "Etherington was also excellent but Jones was back to the player he was when he first arrived.

He dominated the centre-backs, scored an exquisite goal and looked like he was back to his best. Stoke`s record signing must now go on a run of scoring regular goals to have a strong finish to the season."
