Begovic in deep water with national squad
Asmir Begovic is in deep water with the Bosnian FA after he failed to turn out for them in last week's friendly international in the US.
It's not the first time that Asmir has 'allegedly' put club before country with both Stoke and it's keeper saying that a misunderstanding was to blame for his failure to make the trip to play Mexico in Atlanta.
The Bosnians seem to have run out of patience and tried to have Begovic banned from last Saturday's defeat at Birmingham (now that would have been an interesting case of 'what-if's'). But not many Stoke fans are likely to care if our current number one keeper chooses to stay in the UK rather than make the tiring trans Atlantic trip for what many would say was a pointless midweek international fixture.
