Stoke to sell Ric to Black Cats?

One of the more surprising rumours is the news that Ricardo Fuller may be on his way to Sunderland.

Fuller is one of the mainstays of the Stoke squad and fans will be very upset if he does leave, but tweets from Radio Stoke's John Acres seem to back up rumours doing the rounds this afternoon that a 3m deal has been agreed for the Jamaican international.

With John Carew reportedly ready to sign on loan at any time after passing a medical earlier today, it's true that Ric would have been likely to slip down the pecking order, but he's long been regarded as one of those players who was quite content to just be at Stoke, whether playing or on the bench, and has publicly said that he would like to see out his playing career in the Potteries.

If Ricardo does leave it will be a sad day for the Potters...
