Faye: I want to see out my career at Stoke
Abdoulaye Faye wants to renew his contract with the Potters.
The former Stoke skipper has an eye on his contract expiring at the end of the season and is keen to see it renewed so he can see out his career at the Brit.
The 32 year old told the media this week: 'This is the last season of my contract, but I would prefer to stay here,' he said. 'I am happy here, the fans like me and I have everything here.
'Maybe I have three years left before I finish football, but I am happy here, so why go somewhere else?'
Faye joined just over two years ago after falling out with the then Newcastle boss, Kevin Keegan after he had previously followed Sam Allardyce to St James' Park from Bolton.
He became an instant favourite with Potters' fans and was handed the skipper's armband before dropping slightly down the pecking order this season but is still a very useful player to have in the squad.
