Pulis to sign this week

Reports are now suggesting that Tony Pulis will be unveiled as the new Stoke manager early this week.

The Potters have apparently agreed to pay Plymouth Argyle £85,000 in compensation and Pulis's appointment should be formally announced within days.

In the latest Vital Stoke poll, support for Tony Pulis's return appears to have been gaining a little ground in the last few days. Initially, 80% of fans have refused to back his return, this has now weakened to 73% - still a sizable majority - but maybe indicating that some fans are now getting used to the idea of Tony Pulis being the next manager.

Are you sure that you really want him back? Not the sort of manager i'd want managing my side. It happened once, and thank goodness he didn't stay long.
