Jones out for 'a matter of Days`

There has been some really positive news regarding the bad injury suffered by Kenwyne Jones. The new striker was forced to come off during the opening day defeat at Wolves but after speculation that he may be out for a big chunk of the season it has been revealed that his injury is just minor.

Jones made his debut at the weekend following a club record £8 million move but only lasted 13 minutes after which he landed awkwardly under a challenge by Wolves defender Jody Craddock. But X-Ray`s show that the Trinidad man didn`t suffer any serious damage and Pulis has already expressed his relief.

The manager said "The news is as good as we could have expected in the circumstances" he told the official site. "We will assess Kenwyne`s progress over the next few days, so it is hard to say how long he will be out, but we are talking days rather then weeks or months"

With any luck Jones may be able to line up at the Britannia on Saturday to make his home debut in front of an expectant crowd against Spurs.
