Hammers accept Kovac bid
West Ham have reportedly accepted a bid from Stoke for Czech midfielder Radoslav Kovac. The 30 year old is due to discuss personal terms at the Britannia Stadium tomorrow according to Sky Sports.
It was reported yesterday that Stoke were in talks with West Ham over a fee for the holding player and it now seems the move will go ahead. Kovac signed for the Hammers in January 2009 initially on loan before making his move permanent just last year.
However after the Hammers new owners David Gold and David Sullivan declared that they are open to offers for most of the squad Stoke have nipped in for the former Spartak Moscow man.
The move will certainly heat up the competition for places in the Potters midfield with Glen Whelan and Dean Whitehead the current first choice. Liam Lawrence has decided to stay put instead of join Celtic which also leaves Rory Delap scrapping for a starting berth.
