Taggart and De Goey to leave

Out of contract players, Gerry Taggart and Ed De Goey have not been offered new terms by the Potters, it was announced today as Stoke issued their list of players released by the club.

It was widely expected that Taggart and De Goey would not be staying. De Goey is contemplating a move back to Holland to become a goalkeeping player/coach

36 come October. Got sent off in the first game of the season due to a very late tackle - age seems to have crept up on him. After that Boskamp got him to do his coaching badges and help him on the touchline - seems very good at that and had the respect of the other players. I'd think he'd want to get into coaching or management if a club does not want him to play for them.

Maybe someone who could come back in the future as manager. A good player in his day, and one i reckon will make a good coach.
