Tuncay Sanli has earnt praise from Tony Pulis which will come as relief to many supporters who have been dreading his possible exit. The Turk scored a hat-trick in the Potters 6-0 win over Newcastle Town at the weekend and Tony Pulis believes that the he is looking sharp in pre-season.
Tuncay had a disappointing first campaign in the red and white in-which he only started a handful of games and reacted badly to being substituted. However unlike his fellow strikers, Beattie and Kitson, he still has plenty more to offer the club as we were only treated to glimpses of his best last year.
Pulis said "It was lovely to see him get a few goals, and that is good reward for him because he's worked hard so far this pre-season and looked sharp.
"I'm the last person to get carried away with results and what have you in pre-season, but so far the signs have been pretty good with Tunny, and a hat-trick does no-one any harm.'
Without doubt the most gifted attacking player we have, this season will hopefully be the one where the 28 year-old really stamps his mark on the club. Stoke open their Premier League campaign away at Wolves at if he continues like this, there is a good chance he may get the nod alongside Ric Fuller.
