Royals complete Griff move

Royals complete Griff move

Former captain Andy Griffin has completed his long overdue move to Championship side Reading on a two year deal for a nominal fee.

The 31 year-old hasn`t featured in the Premier League since December 2008 when he was involved in a coming together with Ricardo Fuller. The writing has been on the wall ever since and Griff spent a few months on loan at Reading last season.

The Fullback said to the Reading official site "I`m very pleased to sign permanently because I know the club, I know the manager and I know we`ve got a great bunch of players, both as footballers and as people".

Griffin is the first of an expected few to leave this summer. Michael Tonge, Tom Soares and Andrew Davies are all expected to be sold to raise more money.
