West Brom look to bag Beattie

Stoke striker James Beattie looks to be heading for the exit door according to the News of the World with West Brom looking to be his most likely destination.

It`s more of a matter of time before the former Everton forward leaves the Brit and he will favour a move to a Premier League club. A bid of around 2million has been mentioned and this is in the range that the Potters will demand.

Beattie has scored 9 goals in 38 games for the club and it is debatable whether we would still be a top flight club without Beattie`s excellent end to the 08/09 season.

Stoke are looking to offload Beattie so to make way for players of higher quality with the likes of Carlton Cole and Roman Pavlyuchenko linked.
