Reid favourite for Plymouth role

Peter Reid is said to be the favourite to get the vacant manager's job at Plymouth Argyle.

Jim Magilton is the other person vying for the League 1 club's top job down in Devon. The Pilgrims dropped out of the Championship last month after ditching their old manager Paul Sturrock way back in December, but Head Coach and acting manager, Paul Mariner failed to halt the slide.

It now appears likely that Reid will take up the reins and this will leave yet another vacancy as TP's number two. Gary Megson is available, yet again, to help out in a temporary capacity after his dismissal from the Bolton job last season, but it remains to be seen if Pulis would ask the former Stoke boss to help out again or even if either would want the role on a more permanent basis.
