Shtaniuk to face England B team

Shtaniuk to face England B team

Former Stoke player and Belarus international, Sergei Shtaniuk is set to face the England B team at Reading tonight.

As well as wearing the captain's armband for Belarus, he is now the most capped player in the squad with over 60 caps and is playing for Ukrainian club FC Metalurh Zaporizhya.

The big defender was a popular figure at Stoke but had to return home due to family problems in 2003.

If he can still cut the mustard, (and we'll soon see tonight) we should get him back; he's rumoured to want to get back over here?

Several of my Five-a-side squad are going to that game, no loyalty, when we play ever Thursday.

Not sure we got the full meaning of that last one "joker"? Are you on the razz celebrating 'cos you're offloading Clueless on us?

Just watched him on Sky. Certainly still the Sergei of old - tough as ever!

If you read this Grham, you should have come to Five a side tonight, rather than watch England B lose. At least we won and scored a lot more goals, even in the standard of football wasn't quite as good.
