Pulis asks for Zola backing
Tony Pulis sprung to the defence of West Ham's beleaguered manager, Giancarlo Zola yesterday after we'd beaten them 1-0 in the League and ensured that they'd become well and truly involved in the relegation scrap.

The new joint chairmen of West Ham, former Birmingham City owners Gold and Sullivan, have given some very mixed messages of 'support' to both manager and team since their defeat to Wolves in midweek and you really must think that it's counterproductive for the owners to step out of line as this very late stage of the season.
He told the BBC after the game that he knows how Zola must feel at this time: 'Now's the time that you need the chairman to back you, a bit of good luck and the players to stick together'
