'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Will this be Ryan's first England cap?

Stoke City defender, Ryan Shawcross could be poised to make his first appearance for England in tonight's friendly against Egypt at Wembley.

England coach, Fabio Capello has dropped a hint to the media that he could make an appearance at some point during the match which will mean that he'll be the first Stoke player since Mark Chamberlain in 1984 to take to the field wearing the three lions.

Who knows, a good performance tonight and in the following matches might see the 22 year old being on the plane to South Africa for the World Cup this summer?

The kick-off is at 8pm tonight and it's live on ITV1.

And if he does I'd like to wish the lad well! His slagging off from Arsene Wenger wasn't called for, it was a feckin accident!
