Death takes the shine off Stoke win

Death takes the shine off Stoke win

An off the field event has taken the shine off the Potters' good win against Rovers on Saturday.

It was desperately sad to hear of the death of a Blackburn fan who was injured during the half time interval at the Brit. It seems as though there was some raucous behaviour in the visitors' concourse area which resulted in John Taylor from Darwen being hit on the head by a plastic bin. Although paramedics were quickly on the scene and he was taken to hospital, he died later that night. One man has been arrested.

It really is shocking when things like this happen, especially when we're all just enjoying a game of football with our own family and friends and our condolences go to his family.
