Sporting Gijon left-back Roberto Canella and former Valencia midfielder Miguel Angel Angulo are both set for talks with Stoke over the next coming days over a possible transfer.
Canella, a Spanish u21`s international, has already seen a proposed move to Real Zaragoza this week fall through and now Stoke have emerged as his potential future employers. His signature maybe hard to get though as the Potters have already reportedly had a bid of around 5million euros turned down and his chairmen wants around 18million euros, so a lot of negotiations are due over the forthcoming days.
Canella certainly has a good reputation in Spain after helping Spain u19s to European glory in 2006 and has since been linked with Real Madrid. It would certainly be an interesting buy if it happens as Pulis tends to favour players with plenty of Premier league experience but if he can sign him it looks to be a promising buy.
City`s other target, Miguel Angel Angulo, is a much more likely signing after his summer release from Valencia. The former Spanish international spent 14 years with the club and scored 43 times in 313 appearances. The versatility of Angulo is what has attracted Pulis, he can play in a whole host of positions including Central midfield, right wing, upfront and even right back.
Miguel is due to fly into the Britannia today for talks with the club and they hope they can strike a deal by deadline day next week.
In other transfer news surrounding the club the Dean Ashton saga rumbles on with no-one knowing if and when he is ever going to decide on his future, even if it is retirement. James Collins seems to favour Aston Villa over the Potters but nothing is set in stone yet. Aruna Dindane is set to join Portsmouth ending any interest we had in the player and any clubs wanting to buy Ryan Shawcross have been put in there place after a £12mil price tag has been put on his head.
