Hull look set to land Potters star

It has now emerged that Hull are now in prime position to complete the signing of Seyi Olofinjana.

It was reported last week that French side Monaco had a £2.5mil offer accepted by the Potters but after Hull declared their interest, Monaco have become Seyi`s second choice as he would prefer to stay in the prem.

The Nigerian only signed on last summer for £3mil from Wolves and after impressing during the first 3 months, an injury halted his charge and he found it difficult to earn a place back in the side, after the signing of Matthew Etherington and the emergence of Glenn Whelan.

Seyi`s exit looks immanent but he will always have a place in Stoke history as the man who scored the winning goal in that memorable home match against Arsenal. Seyi, we salute you!
