Congolese international signed

Congolese international signed

Stoke's recent scouting trip to the African cup of nations appears to be bearing fruit.

Johan Boskamp has confirmed that Congo international, Zola Matumona has signed for the Potters from Congolese club AS Vita for "a small fee" and should travel to the Potteries on Thursday to train with the squad. He will not be eligible to play for us until the start of the new season and Stoke still have to apply for a work permit.

Boskamp added: 'He's 22 or 23 and can play centre or left midfield. He's got a good left foot and is strong on the ball.'
