Stoke sign Davies from the Saints

Stoke City have completed the signing of England U21 international, Andrew Davies from Southampton.

The 23 year old defender has signed a four year deal for a reported £1.3m.

He only joined the Saints in January after leaving Middlesborough where he played 50 times for the north-east club, but with Southampton's current financial problems he was one high earner that they were forced to let go. Several Saints' fan sites are saying that we've got a good player on the cheap.

Ive seem him play, not a bad player. We still need to sign a left mid and full backs. What about Lee from Tottenham and sinclaire from Chelsea

Pulis was reported as saying that there could be an "exciting striker" on the way................

Gutted he has left. 23 and up and coming. Real shame.

Must admit I've never heard of the lad. Is he any good? '23 up and coming', says th3saint, but surely at 23 he should be past up and coming?
