Seyi's Stoke move is confirmed

Seyi Olofinjana has had his move to the Potters confirmed after he was given a new work permit by the Home Office.

The Nigerian international midfielder joined the Potters from Wolves in a £3m deal last week but had to wait until today to hear if the government would agree to his work permit being changed. Although this was considered a formality, Stoke did not play him in the 2-0 win over Notts County earlier in the week.

Neither Seyi or new signing Thomas Sorensen will feature in tomorrow's friendly at Shrewsbury after Tony Pulis gave them both a few days off to sort out their domestic situations after they agreed moves to the Potteries.

Stoke are also waiting to hear whether Jamaican international, Rudolph Austin will be able to complete his £1m move to Stoke. The same Home Office appeals panel are currently reviewing his application for a work permit and are expected to give their decision shortly.
