Fulop edging closer to Stoke
Stoke appear to have finally broken the deadlock in their long running bid to sign Marton Fulop from Sunderland.
BBC Radio Stoke are reporting that Sunderland have finally agreed a transfer deal with the Potters after turning down two previous bids for the Hungarian international keeper.
Fulop has been Tony Pulis's first choice for a new permanent stopper throughout pre-season, but it looked like a deal was dead in the water after the Black Cats refused to deal and Pulis turned his attention to Liverpool keeper, Scott Carson. When that deal came to nothing, he moved again for Fulop and it appears that this is now bearing fruit with reports earlier this week that the Potters were offering an initial £3m with up to another £3m based on performance.
If a deal has been agreed, then it's just the matter of agreeing personal terms and with Fulop already reported to be keen on a move to the Brit that should just be a formality.
