Zakuani Says Stoke Can Survive

Zakuani Says Stoke Can Survive

On-loan Fulham defender Gabby Zakuani reveals how he thinks Stoke can survive in the top-flight and says why credit is due to manager Tony Pulis.

'The biggest credit for our promotion has to go to the manager. He brought in the right people at the right time and he really knows how to get the best out of players. Some managers forget a bit about you when you're injured but while I've been out Tony Pulis was always coming in to see how I was.

'Right now nobody is thinking too much about next season. Everyone just wants to savour the moment. But before long all minds at Stoke will turn to the Premiership. We know our style of play will have to change a bit and that we'll need to bring in three or four players.

'We had a taste of it when we played Newcastle in the FA Cup and we matched them in the first game at our place, drawing 0-0, before losing at their ground. I suppose people see us a bit in the Bolton mould and that might be partly true. Everybody is looking forward to the best teams coming to town.'
