Lawrence Is Top Potter

Liam Lawrence continued to lead the way on the road in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Coca-Cola Championship, to help Stoke City claim a vital victory at Coventry City.

The 26-year-old netted a late winner to earn Stoke a 2-1 win at the Ricoh Arena and maintain their challenge for automatic promotion.

Lawrence also chipped in with one interception, one pass and two crosses to post 26 points. He remains top of the Index with 657 points and holds the best overall away score with 293 points and an average of 15.

The former Sunderland midfielder is one of five Stoke players in the top 25, Ryan Shawcross (533), Leon Cort (526), Ricardo Fuller (517) and Richard Cresswell (504) sitting in 10th, 13th, 17th and 24th respectively.

Analysis of all Championship games is taking place throughout the season and so far the top five Stoke players are:

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
