Pericard joins Saints

In the wake of Jay Bothroyd's arrival at the Brit, Vincent Pericard has joined Southampton on loan until the end of the season.

Pericard has failed to make any impression on the first team this season - not helped by a jail sentence for lying about a driving offence at the start of the season. Indeed, some fans say that he has made no impression at all since joining from Portsmouth a couple of seasons ago.

I would have thought that this may be the final chapter in Vincent's time at Stoke and that he would leave in the summer.
