D'Urso admits he's a **** ref!

Andy D'Urso has admitted that he made a mistake in sending off Andy Griffin in Sunday's 3-0 defeat at QPR and 'is reconsidering his decision'.

OK, so he may not have admitted that he is a poor referee, but at least he's had to decency to come clean and say that he was wrong to send Griff off. Yes, I know that referees can make mistakes, but his instant red card without even apparently consulting the other officials, given that he was not close to the incident, must call into question his ability to perform his role to the required standard.

His decision, whilst possibly not effecting the end result, did kill off any chance of a second half revival for the Potters and any chance of decent game of football for the 13,500 at the game and the thousands more watching on TV.

After D'Urso's admission, we'd expect the FA to announce soon that the red card has been rescinded and that Griffin will not be suspended.
